Meet our staff...

Miss Kim began working at CAMP of the WOODS in the spring of 2006 and stepped into the role of Tapawingo’s Assistant Director in the fall of 2006.  She had the opportunity to serve alongside Miss Angie Armstrong before accepting the position of Director in January 2008. Kim is a native to southeast Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College, graduating in 2004 with a B.S. in Bible and Women in Ministry. She loves the outdoors, especially exploring and hiking God’s amazing creation. She also has a passion for helping children experience the love of Christ in the outdoor environment.

Miss Joy is a graduate of Gordon College, where she majored in Biblical Studies and Communications, and she currently serves as Head Coach of Gordon’s women’s softball team.  She has spent seven summers on staff at Tapawingo, serving as a Counselor, Food Service & Maintenance Director, and Program Director.

Tapawingo facts:

29 female staff, 5 boat crew members
72 campers per week
6 CITs per 3-week session
2 counselors to every cabin - 8 campers per cabin
3 weeks of mandatory staff training
8 weeks of summer camp
