Summer 2009 marks the celebration of Tapawingo’s 50th anniversary!  We look forward to celebrating God’s hand at work with you! 

For 50 years, God has blessed a little island named, “Tapawingo,” and used it as a vessel to draw young girls to Himself.  Many find meaning in the words of the beloved song, “’Tis there where I found Him, my Savior and Lord,” because they echo, not only on a lake, but in hearts that have been softened and summoned by the King.  This summer we celebrate what God has accomplished each summer since 1959.  May it only be a foreshadowing of what is to come and may He receive all the glory for it!

(Please note: Although staff husbands are welcome most activities will be geared toward the ladies!  Bring something to keep occupied).

If you are a previous staff member, or a mother/daughter and would like to room with others you know, please contact each other beforehand and then inform the registrar.  Please note: Maximum capacity for most rooms is 5.

 

Camp Tapawingo is a Christian girls camp located on an island in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. It serves girls ages 9-17 and is unique because of its beauty and biblical standards of excellence. Campers and staff alike are encouraged and inspired to find meaning and fulfillment in a hurting world. Tapawingo is a wonderful experience for girls.

Adult: Double Occupancy $165

Adult: Single Occupancy $206

Child:
12-15 yr olds - $88.50
8-11 yr olds - $65
5-7 yr olds - $46.50
4 and under - FREE

A non-refundable $50 deposit is due at the time of registration.

In addition to the above fees, anyone who has not been a guest at Camp during 2009 will also need to pay a one time $10 membership fee (applies to anyone 8 and older).

Welcome to the Camp Tapawingo website. We are so thankful that you have decided to become acquainted with the ministry of Camp Tapawingo. This island camp for girls has been called, "A haven of rest and refreshment" by our campers. It is a place where girls are free to be girls without the pressures and expectations of society. A place where young women have the chance to discover God’s unconditional love for them through Jesus Christ, grow in a deeper understanding of God’s Word and see His best for their lives!
