We will devote ourselves to the practice of spiritual disciplines, grasp the transformative impact of missions, seek to understand the message of the Bible as a whole, and learn key outdoor skills in our natural lab of the vast Adirondack Park.

Spring 2017, LIFT 37 - Ecuador

Fall is a beautiful time of the year in the Adirondacks. You will experience warm, sunny weather when you first arrive, perfect for canoeing, hiking, and especially outdoor rock climbing! Then, while you are here you will get to watch the colors of the leaves change. Hiking through the High Peaks of the Adirondacks at the height of color is one of the most breathtaking sights you will ever see. We can also almost promise that you will get a taste of snow by the end of the semester.

During the winter/spring the Adirondacks turn into a beautiful winter wonderland. It is an amazing experience to cross country ski through the trails of the Adirondacks in the Winter. While we cannot guarantee it, we can say this: you have not lived until you've snowshoed through 2+ feet of snow or summited a mountain in a snowstorm!

Once you've applied, you can expect a phone call or e-mail within 48 hours of when we receive your application. At that time, we will set up a phone interview with you to determine whether you have the potential to be a quality LIFT student. After your phone interview, if your referees have submitted their references, you will likely receive our decision within a few weeks of your application. You are then given a length of time (usually one week) to decide whether or not you will commit to participating in LIFT and you will mail us a signed "Letter of Intent" stating your decision.

Please feel free to call us if you have any questions. The main phone number for LIFT questions is 518-548-4831, Tyler Nelson, LIFT Associate Director. Tim Trezise, LIFT Director, may be reached at 518-548-4311, extension 310. You may also email both of us at:

Thank you for taking the time to prepare well for this once-in-a-lifetime experience! We look forward to having you here with us soon!
