PRAYER

First and foremost, we covet your prayers. As stated in our Mission Statement, we are here to "Present the Biblical truths of Jesus Christ, develop Christian leaders, strengthen the faith of individuals and families and promote global evangelism."

These are very important directives but are impossible to do without the leading and strength provided by the Holy Spirit. Please pray for:

  • Each arm of our Ministry - Summer, Tapawingo, Missions, Conferences, and LIFT.
  • Our Board of Directors - that they may make the proper decisions regarding the future of Camp.
  • Our Staff - that they may continue serving as unto the Lord.
  • Our Missionaries - for safety in their location, and strength and wisdom to proclaim the Good News throughout the world.
  • Our Guests - that they may be spiritually enriched and challenged by their time at Camp.
  • Our Current Capital Projects - for the needed funding to come in; for safety for our staff, volunteers and contractors; for good weather for scheduling deadlines to be met; and for our Lord to be honored.
  • DONATIONS

Gospel Volunteers, Inc. and its ministries need your financial support so that we may honor and glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gospel Volunteers, Inc. is a Not-for-Profit 501(c)(3) corporation. All gifts are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided. Here are some ways you can support our ministry:

    The Partnership Program

Summer and Conference Season revenues cover the CAMP-of-the-WOODS operations budget, including salaries and utility bills, but any additional financial needs must be met by donations. Each year, 30% of the overall financial needs of CAMP-of-the-WOODS are covered by gifts given by a very small donor base. This annual generosity has enabled Camp to continually upgrade its facilities for guests without incurring debt. However, this dependence on such a small donor base puts Camp in a potentially precarious financial position.

The Partnership Program is an association of guests, volunteers, friends and staff committed to working together in order to strengthen and continue the ministry of CAMP-of-the-WOODS. Your partnership will help us assemble a solid economic base and offset the need for Camp to increase its annual costs. Generations to come will be blessed by our partnership today. A partner commits to:

  • Pray regularly for CAMP-of-the-WOODS
  • Share the ministry of CAMP-of-the-WOODS with others
  • Identify potential candidates for summer staff, full-time staff and LIFT
  • Contribute at least $1,000 a year for 5 years

    Missions Program

We are committed to supporting our missionaries throughout the year. While most of our missions funds come in during the summer months, our missionaries' needs continue year-round. Click here to learn more about the various ministries our missionaries are involved in.

    LIFT Discipleship

This is a wonderful program through which we are able to impact the lives of young adults each semester (twice a year). The students have a rigorous study program, enjoy the Adirondacks with hikes and camping trips and are involved in various areas of service to Camp and in the local community. This program is provided at no cost to the students. Gifts to the LIFT program will go towards offsetting meal and lodging costs, purchasing equipment for hiking and camping, and purchasing and maintaining vehicles for their transportation. You can also give to the LIFT Mission Trips, which the students take once per semester.

    Tapawingo

This is a terrific summer camp where young girls can grow in their walk with God while enjoying the beautiful outdoors with activities that make use of the Adirondack Mountains. Gifts for Tapawingo can be designated to the Camper Scholarship program that helps girls from financially burdened families attend Camp.

    Summer Staff Sponsorship

This program is a creative way for our guests and former staff to help CAMP-of-the-WOODS by sponsoring a summer staff member’s wages, room and board. This exciting program will help offset operational costs related to Camp’s ministries. Individuals or groups of people can choose a summer staff position that is meaningful to them and can help sponsor this position for as little as $500.

    'Pop' Tibbitts Foundation

This foundation is an endowment to give financial security to the future of CAMP-of-the-WOODS. It has been established in honor of ‘Pop’ Tibbitts to preserve this ministry for the future. How to contribute:

  • Will: You can provide a bequest in your will for a dollar amount, percentage of your estate, or a residuary amount to CAMP-of-the-WOODS. The funds will be added to the endowment for the long-term financial strength of the ministry.
  • Distribution from Retirement Account: You can name CAMP-of-the-WOODS as a designated beneficiary of a specific dollar amount, or percentage of the account upon death. Gifts of retirement assets provide significant income and estate tax benefits and require the use of a designated beneficiary form with the plan administrator. A bequest of retirement assets is of no effect.
  • Gift Annuity: This is a contract between you and CAMP-of-the-WOODS to provide a guaranteed lifetime annuity for yourself and, if desired, for another individual. Gift annuities provide significant tax and financial benefits for the donor. A confidential personalized analysis can be provided upon request.
  • Charitable Remainder Trust: This can be in the form of an annuity trust providing a fixed annuity amount or as a unitrust providing a variable payment depending upon the performance of the trust investment portfolio. In either case, the donor irrevocably places assets in a trust. The trust payments must be at least 5% of the value of the trust. A charitable income/estate tax deduction is available based upon the payment rate of the trust, age(s) of beneficiary(ies) and the current IRS discount rate.
  • Life Insurance: A donor can make CAMP-of-the-WOODS the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Older policies are excellent gift assets as they give a charitable income tax deduction of approximately the current cash value of the policy. With new policies, donors receive a current charitable deduction for the premium payments on the policy.
  • Thank you for your continued support of Gospel Volunteers, Inc. and its ministries.
