Egypt/Sudan Project

God has been doing a new thing in Egypt and Sudan, two countries with majority Muslim populations and Islamic-controlled governments. God continues to redeem for Christ an increasing number for His kingdom across the Middle East, and through a newly established Pioneers Mobilization Office in Egypt, He is raising up some believers in these two nations to engage in outreach and church planting among the multitudes of unreached among them and beyond.

COTW has seized the opportunity to partner with Pioneers on a project that promotes global evangelism via mobilizing, training, sending, and sustaining Egyptian and Sudanese Christ-followers in outreach both locally to Muslims and refugees as well as globally in cross-cultural evangelism to establish churches in places where Christ is not known or worshipped.

At our office in Egypt, we equip and send nationals from the Middle East, focusing initially on Egyptians and Sudanese. However, our vision is to send other Arab world indigenous believers into Christ’s harvest fields from across the Arabic-speaking region, as God leads and opens doors.

Pioneers, through its mobilization base in Egypt, is also actively partnering with other organizations to help provide for the economic, educational, physical, and psychological needs of the Sudanese refugees in the community. They have helped create a microfinancing program for future entrepreneurs that it has trained, given trauma care to youth, created a refugee sports program, worked to improve local refugee schools, and helped start a sewing company for refugee mothers. All of these programs are integrated into the church planting strategy of Pioneers giving access to many non-believers as well as creating job opportunities for many of our church planters so that they can provide for their families.

We provide a “Global Disciples” training program/internship, called M3.14 (Mark 3:14), with a special focus on missions with practical application where students go out and engage in actual gospel outreach ministry and come back with feedback and questions for a designated coach/mentor. These students learn by watching, listening, and doing. This is a 10-month internship, engaging in creative ministry strategies with a focus on a target group they are trying to reach for Christ. After the ten months, the graduates are encouraged to enter into long-term ministry among a specified unreached group/area.

Please pray that the graduates of the M3.14 internship would have a clear burden/calling from the Lord to go to unreached people groups to share the gospel message!
