Christian Education Program

Children ranging from infancy through the 6th grade are invited to join our Kids’ Klub Christian Education programming. Kids’ Klub staff are carefully selected individuals who are enthusiastic about the spiritual development and safety of your children.

Childcare is provided during chapel services, seminars, and evening concerts.

Nursery

For children under 2 years of age

Be confident that your little one will be well looked after with the love and care they need by our attentive, well-trained staff. Our Nursery Building has a playroom, a quiet room, and a screened porch.

Upon check-in at the Front Desk, complete the nursery and preschool information to hand to the Front Desk staff.

Preschool

Ages 2 - 5

Preschool is when Kids’ Klub programming really begins. Your child will come back from the class having learned carefully chosen songs designed to hide God’s Word in their heart. Bible lessons and crafts are also taught at an age-appropriate level preparing them for the years to come. Each age has its own classroom in the Preschool Building.

Upon check-in at the Front Desk, complete the nursery and preschool information to hand to the Front Desk staff.

Elementary

Kindergarten - 4th Grade

Kids dive even deeper into the Bible during these developmental years. An emphasis is placed on Scripture memorization and children are taught impactful lessons by qualified Kids’ Klub teachers, many of which are education majors during the college school year. Each grade has their own classroom in the Jelinek Center.

Klub 56

5th - 6th Grade

New for Summer 2022, Klub 56 is programming designed to bridge the gap and prepare children for the COTW Teens Program in their upcoming years. Students will meet in the Sonju Sports Complex classroom for lessons as well as gather for activities throughout the week.

“The teachers were so friendly and welcoming. My kids had a great time and learned so much!”

Kid-Focused Activities

  • Dress Up Parade & Carnival

Participate in our long-standing tradition. Children and families dress up and parade through the property before participating in the carnival with games, inflatables, music, and candy.

  • Beach & Water Carnival

Nothing says summer fun quite like the Beach & Water Carnival! Your children can win Gift Certificates to the Tee Pee by winning water games or by building the ultimate sand castle.

  • Praise & Puppets

Children and parents alike love Praise & Puppets! Gather outdoors (weather permitting) for a time of kid-friendly worship mixed with fun puppet shows put on by our Kids’ Klub staff.

  • Talent Show

A children’s talent show is the highlight of Chapter Two each Friday. Kids sign up early in the week, then showcase their skills like playing an instrument, dancing, singing, and more.

  • Sports Emphasis

Weeks 1 - 8 children are invited to learn the fundamentals of a sport. In order to make this hour-long session impactful, our instructors carefully incorporate spiritual life lessons into their sessions. See Schedule

  • Outdoor Adventure

Klub56 children are challenged to explore CAMP-of-the-WOODS landmarks around the Nature Trail. Climb high, duck low, and swing wide through these afternoon activities for 5th and 6th graders.

“Kids’ Klub gave my daughter a new enthusiasm to share Jesus with others.”

 Meet the Kids’ Klub Director

Kim Russell has been coming to CAMP-of-the-WOODS since she was 1 month old and has been involved with Kids’ Klub for 6 years. Her husband, Gary, is on full-time staff and their daughters Carina and Sierra have been through the Kids’ Klub program.

Kim remembers being a part of the children’s program here (then called CE). “It was there that I gave my life to Jesus at 6 years old. I remember the teacher put a verse on a chalkboard and we played erase-a-word. It was Matthew 6:33 ‘But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’ I have been seeking Him ever since. This is why I believe in the importance of Kids' Klub.”

During the non-summer months, Kim is an elementary and special needs teacher in New York City in addition to all the work she does planning and preparing for Kids’ Klub.

“My kids look forward to seeing the friends they’ve made at CAMP-of-the-WOODS year after year.”

Do you have a child with special needs?

It’s very important to us that every child who participates in Kids’ Klub is well taken care of. If you have a child with special needs, please reach out to Kim Russell to discuss what we can do to support your child. Careful consideration will be taken to place them in the appropriate grade-level class and give them individual or small group attention.

“The Kids’ Klub staff went out of their way to really connect with my kids.”
