Meet the LIFT Staff

Meet the Team

  • Tim Trezise: LIFT Director

LIFT Director Tim Trezise has served as the Director of LIFT for over 12 years. Prior to LIFT he and his wife, Kate, served for 5 years as the Program Directors and Adventure Leaders for EduVenture Mexico. Tim's experience with EduVenture serves him well with its many similarities to LIFT, particularly a focus on discipleship and hands-on ministry experience.

Tim's vast knowledge and experience with the outdoors and adventure sports enable him to take LIFT's outdoor initiatives to new levels. He and Kate also share a heart for helping college-age students to grow in Christ.

Prior to EduVenture, Tim taught at Houghton College for nearly a decade. Tim (M.S., A.T.C) was the head Athletic Trainer and taught physical and outdoor education classes.

  • Caleb Harlan: LIFT Associate Director

Caleb was born in Indiana and grew up in and around camp ministry. He attended Taylor University for his undergraduate studies and then worked in student development. Caleb then earned an M.A. in Leadership from North Greenville University while completing a discipleship residency at Impact 360 in Georgia before coming on staff with LIFT.

During these experiences, Caleb grew in his passion for seeing young adults grow in their faith and maturity during some of the most pivotal years of their life. Caleb is passionate about holistic discipleship and seeing people come to better understand, experience, and engage in the Kingdom of God and what the implications are of being a citizen of that Kingdom.

Along with all of this, you can find Caleb playing sports or enjoying the outdoors with his wife, Rachel. These activities are great reminders of the grandeur of God, as well as the intimate intricacies of how He has woven us together in beautiful ways.

  • Rachel Harlan: LIFT Staff

Originally from Georgia, Rachel has been attending CAMP-of-the-WOODS as a member since she was 9 months old, spending some of those summers working in the Kids Klub ministry.

Upon graduating from Taylor University in 2018, Rachel completed a year of LIFT in 2018-2019 (LIFT 40 & 41). She will be the first to tell you that it was the most fun, growing, and transformational experiences of her Iife!

It was also at LIFT that she first felt the call to pursue vocational ministry. Returning to COTW, Rachel has her Masters in Spiritual Formation from Regent University and co-teaches the LIFT Spiritual Transformation classes.

Rachel loves to see young adults experience biblical discipleship and authentic community. She has a heart for experiencing God through creation and adventure, and also loves to host game nights for anyone who is willing to join!

  • Evan Borman: Adventure Leader/Outreach Coordinator

Growing up in the mountains of Ecuador and among the forests and lakes of Michigan, Evan, from a young age, developed a longing for Father through His beautiful creation. Evan graduated from Moody Bible Institute in spring of 2017, and shortly after became a student in the LIFT program. Through his year of LIFT, Evan became deeper in love with Jesus and desired to serve Him in the future through discipleship in outdoor adventure.

A couple of years later, Evan moved to Colorado and received skills in cooking and farming while furthering his abilities in mountaineering and hiking. He also met a most wonderful woman named Katie and was blessed to become her husband.

Evan is passionate about bringing others into Father’s beautiful creation to facilitate a deeper relationship with Him. He longs to see young people desire Jesus more than anything and to obtain the grit to stand for Him without wavering.

LIFT works closely with the CAMP-of-the-WOODS full-time staff. Most of our full-time staff will come along side LIFT students as prayer partners or unofficial mentors throughout the year.
