About Radical
Radical exists to make Jesus known everywhere — in neighborhoods and throughout nations. Radical places an emphasis on reaching the unreached and making disciples by offering resources, training, and opportunities for financial support to help Christians fulfill the Great Commission. Pastor David Platt founded Radical and aims to bridge the gap in evangelism by providing tools and support for effective outreach.
Project Goals
Purpose: To equip and send indigenous leaders for church planting among unreached communities in South Asia, establishing a long-term gospel presence through contextualized ministry.
Strategic Partnership: Built in collaboration with a trusted local church that provides theological training, pastoral equipping, and children’s ministry resources in the regional language.
Vision: To see healthy, reproducing, and self-sustaining local churches emerge among communities with little to no gospel access.
Training Indigenous Leaders:
Host intensive training conferences that teach sound biblical doctrine, expository preaching, and practical ministry leadership.
Over the past year, 86 pastors and planters have been trained through these gatherings, focusing on both Scripture (e.g., 1 & 2 Samuel, Galatians) and contextual application.
Church Planting & Outreach:
Ongoing gospel engagement among four unreached communities, with believers now meeting in house churches and small fellowship groups.
Community-specific ministry efforts include:
Small house fellowships emerging in multiple villages.
Families reached through children’s and after-school programs.
Women’s Bible studies and vocational training centers as platforms for gospel witness.
The goal is for each community to grow toward self-led, self-sustaining, and multiplying churches.
Resource Development: Distribute children’s curriculum, training materials, and Bibles to deepen discipleship within the growing network of believers.
Looking Ahead
Deepened Gospel Engagement:
Continue outreach and discipleship among these unreached communities—strengthening existing house churches, identifying local leaders, and planting new fellowships where opportunities arise.Ongoing Pastoral Conferences:
Conduct three additional training conferences over the next year, equipping approximately 80 pastors per gathering.
Expand theological and leadership training, emphasizing long-term sustainability and peer mentorship among church planters.
Resource Distribution & Theological Growth:
Ship and distribute theological books, commentaries, and discipleship materials to enrich the library at the training center.
Ensure leaders have access to contextualized and biblically faithful resources to support ongoing ministry.
Leadership Multiplication:
Identify and mentor promising leaders from within each people group to take ownership of ministry efforts and reproduce the training model locally.Long-Term Vision:
To see the local church in South Asia flourish—equipped to disciple believers, plant churches, and expand gospel witness across unreached regions for generations to come.
