Meet Our Team

In addition to the women who join our staff each summer, Tapawingo is led year-round by a dedicated team who loves Christ, girls’ discipleship, and this ministry deeply.

  • Miss Natalie Lovvoll

    Miss Natalie Lovvoll

    DIRECTOR

Miss Natalie is from Reading, Massachusetts. The Lord has used Tapawingo in an incredible way throughout "Miss Nat's" life. At 15, Natalie experienced her first summer as a Tapawingo camper. She loved the Lord's evident presence on the island and was greatly inspired by the faith that she saw in her counselors. That week prompted a decision to wholeheartedly follow Jesus. Natalie began reading her Bible and had a new excitement about following His teachings.

Natalie has been passionate about Tapawingo ever since. She has joyfully served on the Tapawingo staff since the summer of 2018, became the Assistant Director in a full-time capacity in the summer of 2023, and has been serving as Director since the fall of 2025.

Natalie graduated from Wheaton College (IL) with a degree in Business Economics. In addition to her passion for camp ministry, she loves learning more about design, cooking, and entrepreneurship.

Natalie loves seeing how the Lord continues to work at Tapawingo. She has witnessed Him move in mighty ways and is praying for campers and staff as He prepares another wonderful summer on the Island of Joy.

Natalie is joyful, intentional, creative, and relationally gifted.

  • Miss Lydia Schooley

    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Miss Lydia grew up in Horseheads, New York. The Island of Tapawingo has a special place in Lydia’s heart as it has shaped her faith and friendships. In 2023, she took a bold step of faith and stepped onto the island for the very first time as a counselor. Although she grew up in a Christian home and had a relationship with the Lord, her first summer at Tapawingo marked her in a special way, filling her with an overwhelming joy and renewed peace. In the following year, Miss Lydia became a CIT leader, where her heart for discipleship grew as she poured into CITs and fell in love with the beauty of the mountains.

Lydia graduated from Roberts Wesleyan University with a degree in Social Work. Shortly after, she attended a discipleship training school with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) where she had the incredible opportunity to experience missions in Albania. Miss Lydia enjoys watercolor painting, pickleball, and intentional conversations with friends. She has a gift for bringing a presence of peace, depth, and joy wherever she goes.

Lydia is so grateful for the impact that Tapawingo has had on her life and is excited to pour into the lives of campers and staff. The Lord has and will continue to work in wonderful ways at Tapawingo, and she considers it a great honor to be a part of it.

  • Miss Dioany Yosuino

    INTERN

Miss Dio was born in Venezuela and moved with her family to Texas at age 17. She grew up in a Christian home and gave her life to Jesus at a very young age. God’s Word and His presence have shaped her life in the most beautiful ways, and her desire is to remain obedient to the Lord.

Dio has a passion for young adult ministry, creative arts ministry, and wedding photography. She loves capturing God’s faithfulness through her lens on a couple’s special day. She graduated in 2023 from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in Advertising.

In 2025, Dio experienced her first summer at Tapawingo as a CIT Leader for two sessions. It became one of the most meaningful experiences of her life—watching young girls grow in their relationship with God, build community, discover their purpose, and enjoy God’s creation. Dio enjoys kayaking, getting to know people, and exploring new places.

Tapawingo is a ministry of CAMP-of-the-WOODS, which is owned and operated by Gospel Volunteers, Inc. Our staff work closely with the full-time team at CAMP-of-the-WOODS.
