The Island of Joy

Where girls grow in Christ, confidence, and connection

Each summer, girls step onto Tapawingo — ready for laughter around the campfire, bold adventures in God’s creation, and moments with the Lord that shape who they are becoming.

At Tapawingo, we believe girls grow best in a setting where they feel welcomed, known, and deeply loved. For over 50 years, we have offered an all-girls experience built on trust, community, and the unshakable joy that comes from walking with Christ.

Making Space for What Matters

  • Christ-Centered Formation

At every part of camp—whether boating, crafting, hiking, or relaxing—Christ is at the heart of all we do. Through daily chapel, cabin devotionals, and meaningful conversations woven throughout activities, girls grow in faith and experience the love of Christ.

  • Unplugged Renewal

Freed from phones and constant distractions, girls can be fully present—immersed in friendships, adventures, and moments with God that fill them up in ways the world rarely allows.

  • Growing Together

Many campers return year after year, growing from camper to Counselor-in-Training and eventually to summer staff. Whether you’re new or returning, you’ll join a legacy community dedicated to helping girls continually grow in Christ.

Find the Program That’s Right for Her

We offer three intentional programs to meet girls right where they are — whether they’re new to camp, craving challenge, or ready to step into new leadership opportunities.

Island Camp

The classic Tapawingo experience — a week of faith, fellowship, and activities on the island of joy.
