Meet the LIFT Staff

Caleb Harlan: LIFT Director
Caleb was born in Indiana and grew up in and around camp ministry. He attended Taylor University for his undergraduate studies before working in student development. Caleb received his M.A. in Leadership from North Greenville University while completing a discipleship residency at Impact 360 Institute before coming on staff with LIFT.
Through these experiences, Caleb grew in his passion for seeing young adults grow in their faith and maturity during some of the most pivotal years of their life. Caleb is passionate about holistic discipleship and seeing people come to better understand, experience, and engage in the Kingdom of God and what the implications are of being a citizen of that Kingdom.
Along with all of this, you can find Caleb playing sports or enjoying the outdoors with his wife, Rachel. These activities are great reminders of the grandeur of God, as well as the intimate intricacies of how He has woven us together in beautiful ways.

Rachel Harlan: Instructor & Admin
Originally from Georgia, Rachel has been attending CAMP-of-the-WOODS since she was 9 months old, spending some of those summers working in the Kids Klub ministry.
Upon graduating from Taylor University, Rachel completed a year of LIFT in 2018-2019 (LIFT 40 & 41). She will be the first to tell you that it was one of the most fun, growing, and transformative experiences of her Iife!
It was also at LIFT that she first felt the call to pursue vocational ministry. Returning to COTW to serve with LIFT, Rachel has her M.A. in Spiritual Formation from Regent University and teaches the LIFT Spiritual Transformation classes.
Rachel loves to see young adults experience biblical discipleship and authentic community. She has a heart for experiencing God through creation and adventure, and also loves to host game nights for anyone who is willing to join!

Zach Baldwin: Adventure Coordinator
Zach was born and raised in central New York and grew up coming to CAMP-of-the-WOODS, where he worked for many summers. Zach attended the LIFT program in 2019 (LIFT 41 & 42).
Zach’s life was transformed from a year at LIFT, and he grew in his love for God and the outdoors. He is excited to disciple new students and have them experience the same transforming power of God.
Before joining LIFT staff, Zach worked at COTW full-time in the Kitchen for four years while also helping with the LIFT excursions. Zach is passionate about rock climbing and hiking in the Adirondacks. He especially loves finding new adventures with his wife Julia. One of Zach’s favorite opportunities is taking new people out to experience God’s creation to see their awe and wonder of Him through nature!
Zach’s training includes Wilderness First Responder, Lifeguard-certified, AMGA Single pitch instructor, and ADK 46er.

Athalie Fiegl: Residential Advisor
Athalie was born and raised in western New York. From an early age, she loved adventure and the outdoors. Her personal journey has led her to care deeply for ministry and walking alongside people through the hills and valleys of their lives.
She attended Roberts Wesleyan University and graduated with a degree in Communications and a concentration in Psychology. She's passionate about storytelling, whether it's getting to know people's stories, helping people share their stories, or understanding her own. After graduating, she worked as a care coordinator at a social work agency, supporting families and adolescents who were struggling with their mental health.
Athalie joined LIFT 47 and experienced a year of challenges, growth, and restoration. She was reminded of her desire to pursue ministry and decided to apply for LIFT RA. She interned as the Resident Advisor for LIFT 48 and grew in her understanding of servant leadership, leading from a place of weakness, and loving others like Christ. She has continued on this path of growing in ministry by interning for a second year.

Jeffrey Endres: Residential Advisor
While Jeffrey has grown up and attended university in Pennsylvania, he has been no stranger to the Adirondacks. Growing up, Jeffrey attended Northern Frontier Camp as a camper and staff member and developed through there a love for camp ministry, wilderness adventure, and servant leadership. His first CAMP-of-the-WOODS experience was being a part of the LIFT 48 class, and it has been a tremendous step in those areas in the new yet familiar environment.
Coming from a family of teachers, Jeffrey received his degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Cairn University in 2024. While at Cairn, he worked in Student Life as an RA for three years. Both his degree and residential life experience have been impactful in growing his love for teaching, learning, and building community with others through joining others in their joys and sorrows.
Jeffrey loves music. Whenever he's not listening to it while working, running, or driving, he's probably singing or whistling along with whatever is playing in his head. He's always down to go to a concert (given ticket prices are not ridiculous), regardless of whether it's a genre or artist he's heard of or even really likes. He loves sharing the songs he loves and learning about what other people love.
Throughout this year, Jeffrey anticipates God to be working in and through him as a LIFT Intern, that God will stretch and challenge him to lean more heavily on the Holy Spirit for strength and leadership. He especially hopes that he will be the tool God desires him to be to lovingly serve LIFT 49.
LIFT works closely with the CAMP-of-the-WOODS full-time staff. Most of our full-time staff will come along side LIFT students as prayer partners or unofficial mentors throughout the year.
