  • Sunday Chapel Nights

    Join 300+ Summer Staff each Sunday for a powerful worship service led by our Summer Staff Chaplain. With real-life stories and relatable teaching, you'll be encouraged to grow deeper in your relationship with God.

  • Intentional Small Groups

    You’ll be placed in a small group of peers, led by trained leaders who guide conversations around Sunday’s message. Expect a space to pray together, be real, and grow in Christian community.

Bring the Energy to Community Events

Experience a Christian college community in the summer — but without the homework! We pack each summer with engaging staff events—so popular they’ve become annual traditions—to make your summer that much more meaningful.

  • All-day BBQ

    All-day BBQ is where staff stop by the town pavilion during, after, or in between shifts to grab lunch or dinner and play fun lawn games.

  • Christmas in July

    This is a week to celebrate Jesus with festive events, such as themed movie nights, and stop by the HR office for Christmas cookies during the day.

  • Campfires

    Weekly campfires ensure there is a time to slow down during the week to fellowship with friends and enjoy s’mores by the fire.

  • Hoedown

    Start the summer off right with dancing in your cowboy boots and favorite flannel at the Hoedown! We bring a team in that specializes in country dances to set the tone for a fun summer.

  • Worship Nights

    This is a weekly worship night to center your heart on God alongside fellow believers. If you’re feeling anxious or troubled about anything, this will help you pause and seek out God’s presence.

  • Unbirthday Birthday Party

    This is a fun party to celebrate everyone’s birthday, whether they have a birthday that day or not. Coming together as a community reminds us that we’re all part of the body of Christ.

  • Trivia Night

    This is a competitive evening to test your team’s trivia knowledge and see who will take home the prize! Choose your team wisely and get ready for a fun evening of laughter and memorable moments.

  • Weekly Dorm Events

    Dorm events are gatherings where staff attend events organized by their dorm heads to fellowship with the summer staff community.

  • Movie Awards Showcase

    The SSMAs (Summer Staff Movie Awards) is an evening dedicated to sitting back and watching videos submitted by summer staff before the audience casts its vote.

Rest, explore, and make the most of your free time and day off. Enjoy everything our resort and Adirondack region have to offer.

  • Pickleball

    Build your skills in our most popular sport! You’ll have many opportunities to play with new people who are always looking to get a group together.

  • Local Hikes

    Spend a day hiking in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, where there are hundreds of trails to choose from.

  • Water Sports

    Head down to the Marina with friends for an afternoon of tubing, water skiing, kayaking, or paddleboarding.

  • Basketball

    Whether it’s a break between your work shifts or you’re ready to join the Staff vs. Guest Basketball game, you have options every week.

  • Beach Day

    Beach days look like reading on the beach, going for a swim in the lake, throwing a frisbee around, playing Spikeball, eating ice cream from the Snack Shop, and anything else you’d like to do!

  • Workouts

    Keep up with your workout routine in our Fitness Center, located in the Sonju Sports Complex.

  • Day Trips

    Take a day trip with your team or friend group to special towns like Lake Placid, NY, or Burlington, VT, and enjoy great restaurants, sightseeing, and shopping.

  • Climbing Wall

    Develop your climbing skills at our climbing wall in the Sonju Sports Complex. Choose different routes from beginner to advanced levels.

  • Sand Volleyball

    Enjoy the sunshine with friends on our sand volleyball court. This is an easy, social activity before or after work.

  • COTW Chapel

    In your free time, enjoy attending our daily Chapel services for members. Speakers from all over the world, such as David Platt and Alistair Begg, bless us with their teaching throughout the summer.

  • Hammocking

    Spend an afternoon hammocking in a quiet place where you can read, pray, journal, or nap undisturbed.

  • Mini Golf

    Grab a group of friends and compete on the mini-golf course. You have all summer to master the course and win the lowest score.

  • Arcade

    Spend a rainy day in the Arcade room with friends playing games like foosball or air hockey.

Your Questions, Answered

  • COTW is a Christian family resort that welcomes 8,000-10,000 guests each summer. Most families vacation for a week, while others vacation the whole summer. Because of this, we employ 300 people to serve with Christ-centered excellence.

    Our multi-generational mission sets us apart—serving the whole family helps you build a wide range of skills, which is why we offer positions in 20+ departments. These departments offer niche-focused job opportunities relevant to your major.

  • Staff live in dorm-style accommodations that are only a short walk to work, so you never have to worry about paying for gas or transportation. You’re meals are also included! Our culinary team’s got you covered with rotating menus, a loaded salad bar, and chefs who care about your dietary needs.

  • Staff receive a bi-weekly salary. Each salary varies depending on the position. You can also expect tips in addition to your salary. All tips are pooled on a weekly basis and are evenly distributed across the summer staff.

  • The average staff member works from mid-June to mid-August. We do our best to align contracts with college students' academic calendars!

  • Strengthen your relationship with God while serving alongside like-minded individuals. Engage in devotions and prayer at work and foster spiritual growth as you share your faith journey with others. Contribute to meaningful projects that impact the kingdom!
