About AIM
Africa Inland Mission (AIM) is an evangelical Christian mission agency serving in over 20 African nations. Its passion is to see the worship of Jesus Christ spread among Africans around the globe — through individual lives fully committed to him, and collectively through Christ-centred churches.
Project Goals
Primary Aim: To cultivate a community of believers deeply exposed to the whole counsel of God, reflecting the model of Nehemiah 8:8—reading, explaining, and understanding Scripture together.
Contextualized Approach: Implement Bible reading camps in culturally fitting, community-based environments where believers can gather safely and openly.
Discipleship Foundations: Equip participants with basic spiritual disciplines—how to read Scripture, pray, and journal—strengthening personal and communal faith practices.
Addressing the Need: Counteract the lack of scriptural exposure that leads to spiritual immaturity and high drop-off rates after conversion among the believers.
Overcoming Barriers: Provide safe, secluded, and peaceful spaces for study and fellowship despite persecution and social hostility.
Camp Structure:
Two camps per year — one in Kenya and one in another disclosed region.
Each camp includes 12–15 adults and 10–12 children, with separate programs for each.
Duration: 5 days, reading and discussing approximately 40 chapters of Scripture.
Looking Ahead
Three-Year Vision: Continue hosting two annual camps through the next three years to solidify the rhythm of communal Bible engagement.
Multiplication Strategy: Empower local believers and leaders to replicate the Nehemiah 8:8 Camp model within their own H1 and H2 communities.
Leadership Development: Identify and train indigenous facilitators to lead future camps independently.
Scripture Saturation: Foster a growing culture of regular Bible reading and group study that extends beyond the camps into home gatherings and local fellowships.
Community Impact: Strengthen the resilience of persecuted believers through shared learning, spiritual encouragement, and Scripture-based identity formation.
Long-Term Hope: That these camps catalyze a movement of mature, rooted, and reproducing disciples who spread the gospel faithfully within their cultural contexts.
