Associate Memberships at CAMP-of-the-WOODS are for individuals or families who lodge off-site and enjoy participating in our summer programming.

You are welcome to use the beachfront and personal watercraft until September 1, 2025. Additional (post-season) dock usage is available from September 2 until September 30 for $255. See the section below, “Rules and Regulations,” to learn about boat information.

*A family unit is defined as a husband, wife, and dependent children up to age 21. Adult children and grandchildren are not included. A couple is defined as a husband and wife.
Rules & Regulations
Memberships are required to enter Camp and/or participate in Camp activities.
Memberships are not sold for recreational, athletic, or marine purposes only.

Sale of guest passes and/or other commercial uses (e.g. providing guest passes to rental property customers) is prohibited and may lead to membership revocation.
Guest passes are valid from June 21 - September 1 (beach access).
Associate Members and their guests must carry membership cards or guest passes when on the grounds.
Membership cards are required when signing up for recreational trips and tournaments.

The Sunday morning Chapel Service is open to the public. Guests with a guest pass can stay past the service.
During Chapel services and concerts, roads by Tibbitts Auditorium will be closed.
Friday evening concerts are open to Resident Members, Associate Members with membership cards, and guests with guest passes. Saturday evening concerts are open to the public.

Beach access is available until September 1.
Shorts-style bathing suits for men and modest one-piece or full-coverage swimsuits for women are acceptable.
Appropriate overgarments should be worn on the grounds when going to and from the beach area.
Please remove or store beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, and other personal items when you’re not using them.
Use the canoe/kayak racks that are available on the beach for storage.

Please register your boat with the Front Desk upon purchasing your Associate Membership.
Pre-season Access (June 2-20): $255
Weekly Access (weeks 1-9): $70
Weekly access has a maximum registration of 2 consecutive weeks.
Summer Access (June 21 - September 1): $660

Boat launch is available post-season by appointment only. Please call our Front Desk at (518) 548-4311 to schedule.
Boat owners will need to be available to pull their boats within 24 hours in the case of an emergency.
When mooring your boats, moor them to the left of the swimming area when facing the lake and in front of Islotta cabins.
Please remember that NY State Boating Laws are enforced on Lake Pleasant.
Please note that the Marina launch is closed on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons during Tapawingo transports.

Sign up at the Recreation Office after 7:00 pm on Sunday for excursions that did not reach capacity.
Activities not filled by the lottery will be available for in-person registration to all members from 7:00 pm on Sunday through Thursday.
Thursday nights hold a dedicated Pickleball Tournament for Associate Members and staff (courts A and C in the Sonju Sports Complex), led by an Associate Member volunteer.
An informal playoff with the winners of the Resident Member tournament may be arranged upon request.
From Weeks 1–7, you may join each non-pickleball tournament, including the 5K, once per tournament.
You may enter the staff vs. guest basketball game lottery until you’ve played once.
During Weeks 8 and 9, all tournaments are open to everyone, and the parallel pickleball tournament will end.
If a resident member wants to team up with an Associate Member or staff, that request takes priority over other participation limits.
All are welcome to join the staff vs. guest softball game.

Use CAMP-of-the-WOODS’ entrance at the Welcome Center with visible vehicle tags.
Associate Member parking is located in the Buirkle Center parking lot near the playground.
If you ride a motorcycle, please park it in the Purdy Center parking lot.
For the safety and privacy of members, no bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, Segways, scooters, drones, or hovercrafts are allowed.

Anyone under age 16 must have adult supervision.
The Purdy Center swimming pool is only available to Resident Members who have booked a Purdy Room.
No pets are allowed on COTW property.
Feedback Communication
Gospel Volunteers, Inc. (GVI) respects and encourages constructive feedback from all Associate Members and to that end has appointed two Associate Member Liaisons to address all feedback internally in a fair and expeditious manner. In the interest of promoting unity and clear communication, GVI requests that all feedback, both positive and negative, be directed to the Member Liaisons, Rich Armstrong and Rob Huseland, whom you can contact by filling out the form.
