This trip partners with Students International to allow participants to work with and serve indigenous people in mountain villages through vocational ministry. Work alongside missionaries seeing how they use their specific vocational work such as education, physical therapy, microfinance, and more to share the gospel and work to alleviate poverty.

About $1,750 per person
Please note: This price covers all meals, lodging, in-country travel in Guatemala, and the program fee. It does not include personal expenses such as airfare, transportation to and from your U.S. departure airport, or personal spending money. (Total estimated cost with airfare and personal expenses: $2,300-$2,750)Participants are responsible for booking their own round-trip travel to and from Guatemala.

Students International Guatemala
SI is focused on meeting the holistic needs of people in vulnerable communities in Latin America. They invite short-term missions teams to come alongside SI missionaries in their vocational work sites.
This is the same organization that the LIFT Program partners with for their mission trip.

You will spend the majority of your time in the beautiful city of Antigua, staying at the Tree Ministries Ministry House.

You’ll participate in 6 pre-trip Zoom meetings designed to prepare you spiritually and practically for the experience ahead. These sessions include team-building, Bible study, and selected book readings to help focus hearts and minds. They also cover important logistics such as visa requirements, any medical preparation, and travel planning.

Serve Indigenous Communities
You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with and serve indigenous communities of Mayan heritage living in modern mountain villages. You’ll gain insight into their rich culture while building relationships to share Christ and meeting practical needs.

Learn from Vocational Missionaries
Spend a week working alongside missionaries and learning how they use their specific vocational skills to live out and share the gospel. You’ll see firsthand how practical, skill-based ministry can be a powerful tool to alleviate poverty and bring hope to local communities.

Stay in the City of Antigua
You’ll stay in the historic city of Antigua, known for its cobblestone streets, colorful colonial architecture, and vibrant local culture. During your free time, you’ll have the chance to explore the city from your hotel.

Explore Local Villages
At the end of the trip, you'll enjoy two days set aside for rest, debriefing your experience, and exploring the charming villages surrounding Lake Atitlán, a region known for its breathtaking beauty.
